The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl is hosting its second annual on-line auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego.  The auction will go live on www.poinsettiabowl.net at noon on Thursday November 20th and will continue until 11 a.m., Friday, December 12th. 

 

Among the nearly 100 items include:

•  (2) tickets to the BCS National Championship game and two nights at the South Beach Marriott;

•  Restaurant gift certificates;

•  Macy*s & Westfield Gift Certificates;

•  “Dine with Shamu” and “Swim with the Dolphins” at SeaWorld San Diego opportunities;

•  Memorabilia from Pac-10, Big 12, Mountain West and Western Athletic Conference schools;

•  Autographed San Diego Padres merchandise; and

•  San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl and Pacific Life Holiday Bowl memorabilia

 

The San Diego chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has served as the beneficiary of the game since its inception in 2005.   More than 600 wish kids and families attended the game last year and participated in several game activities.  The game’s title sponsor, San Diego County Credit Union, presented the charity with a check in the amount of $47,000.

 

The 2008 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kicks off at 5 p.m. PST on Tuesday, December 23 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.  The game will pit a team from the Mountain West Conference against a team from the Pac-10, WAC, or an at-large opponent.  For more information, visit PoinsettiaBowl.net.
